The newest offering from Dvorak Expeditions is a wellness-themed adventure like none other, pairing river SUP and yoga. Join river SUP pioneer Matt Dvorak and world-class SUP yoga instructor Sarah Callaham on a first-of-its kind float down the Green River, on stand-up paddleboards. En route, participants are treated to three SUP yoga lessons in tranquil pools, restorative yoga sessions on land, and daily hikes that showcase the best of Desolation Canyon’s surreal desert geology—from ancient petroglyphs to giant hoodoos. The Green River
The Green River through Desolation and Grey Canyons is one of the most remote places in the continental U.S., bound on one side by the Ute Indian reservation and a road-less swath of Utah desert on the other. This location is ideal for river SUP, with warm, gentle water, and a smattering of riffles and rapids to give adventurous participants a chance to test their mettle on beginner-level whitewater. And it seems tailor made for supporting a yoga practice—there’s no cell phone service in this steep, primordial canyon, just untrammeled wilderness preserved by a history of deep reverence for the land.
Connect with nature
We’ll supplement your connection to nature with nutrient-rich natural meals and fresh wholesome snacks, using organic whenever possible. We also include options for journaling, meditation, stargazing, and learning about Native American history.
This trip is fully raft-supported by a team of Dvorak Expedition’s top guides and chefs, ensuring your safety, and the highest quality food and equipment. Stand-up paddleboard, lifejacket, helmet, and paddle rental are all included in the cost.
